We are a family friendly pub and proud to be part of the local community.
Whether it’s the local knitting group on a Monday morning or the Open Mic nights, The Crate & Apple is more than just a pub, it’s the heart of Westgate. And now with the new “Apple Shed” outside area we can seat up to 24 guests in a heated fully enclosed area. So if you’re looking for a traditional Gastro pub, a cocktail in the hidden garden or just somewhere relaxing to stop for a while, The Crate & Apple is the place for you. And remember all pets are welcome. We even have special beers for dogs and cats!

Join us for our delicious Sunday Roast.
It goes without saying that quality and passion are what drives the team at The Crate. Our delicious Sunday Roast is a testament to that. With a choice of beef, pork, lamb and a vegetarian option, Sundays at The Crate & Apple have become a local institution.
Sunday Roast is served between 12 and 7pm
